    Re: Fake Alarm Clock

The Clock itself is real and made by whoever the clock mfg. is. It is the PAPER FACE that has been added to the clock that makes this a FAKE. One is Listed in our list of Fakes & Reproductions (G&CICA).

Gary,i agree. I feel sorry for the guy that gets stuck with that.there were a few that would show up from time to time when we were in our prime of collecting, but haven"t seen one in many years.got to ask questions, before you pull the trigger on those type of items.my guess is the clock is 1920-30 era, and half the logos on face are turn of the century.

I actually like the logo's on the dial and would have paid the $50 opening bid lol. Does anyone know how many different variations of fakes there are? This one doesn't match the book.

Did anyone notice it says Erie, PENNA. on the right logo. That should be a give away there.

Good point, Trevor. Just because it looks old doesn't mean it's legit! It pays to do your homework. $1,225 is an expensive mistake to make.

penna was an old abbreviation for Pennsylvania, before it was shortened to pa.
