    Re: 2014 National Convention

    Hey Guys,

Is there an admission fee to get in? Do you have to be a member?

I am only wanting to come friday and saturday morning. No meals or anything else.

    Thanks

    Trevor,

There is still time to join and participate in everything the convention has to offer. Below is information about attending on a limited basis. As Lee mentioned, Scott McCarter is the person to contact. You should be able to send him a private message.

Subject: Convention Attendees / New Membership

Subject: Ability to market and attract new membership for the G&GICA Club at the annual convention. During the past conventions we have not allowed new members / local individuals that hear about the convention to attend unless they registered normally at least 30 days prior to the convention.

In the interest of allowing new members to attend and participate in some of the activities we are proposing two additional memberships that would allow last minute additions to the convention while making sure the participants became active members of the club.

    Full Attendee:

Cost: Pay annual membership dues (single or family) and $60 for the convention fee. The participant would then become a full member because they have paid their annual membership fee and would be able to attend the following activities:

 Attend auction and swap meet and be able to make purchases

 Receive annual commemorative (pup, etc.) while supplies last

 Attend all seminars, including table topics

    Attend business meeting

Meet some great people and buy cast iron

Member would not be able to have provided meals since they are pre-arranged based on head count.

Member would have a different colored badge to indicate their new membership and reflect the activities they can participate in (Yellow badge). This would also allow existing Members to recognize the new Members and make them feel welcome to the club.

    Partial Attendee:

Cost: Pay annual membership dues (single or family) and pay $35 for the convention fee. The participant would then become a full member because they have paid their annual membership fee and would be able to attend the following activities:

 Attend all seminars, including table topics

     Attend table topics

    Attend business meeting

Meet some great people and buy some cast iron

Member would not be able to have provided meals since they are pre-arranged based on head count.

Member would have a different colored badge to indicate their new membership and reflect the activities they can participate in (Red badge). This would also allow existing Members to recognize the new Members and make them feel welcome to the club.
