Lodging: Arthur country Inn Oct 17, 2008. They will save 10 rooms for a rate of $59.00 plus tax until Sept. 1. This is for 2 adults. Phone number is 217-543-3321 address 735 East Columbia Arthur, Ill 61911. Just mention that you are with the Heartland Chapter.
Additional lodging is available in Arcola Ill which is about 8 miles away at the Comfort Inn. Phone number is 217-268 4000 I am working on getting a special rate from the Comfort Inn.
There are numerous Amish shops in the area that are open to the public to shop.
I am planning a meal at an Amish home but they would not let me book so far ahead. When you know if you are coming or not e-mail me grisw4@yahoo.com or Peggy Creach pcreach@embarqmail.com and let us know if you want the Friday night dinner. Cost will be determined by the home that I pick.
On Saturday the meet will be at the Yoders Kitchen on the rt 133 East side of Town. They have a wonderful smorgasboard or you may order of the menu. I look foreward to see everyone. Bring lots of iron for show & tell and to sell, too.
